Lecture Overview:
This lecture is designed to review the current modalities used to provide high frequency ventilation, and the rationale for their use. It will also provide an understanding of the clinical outcomes expected with HFV in neonates.
Target Audience:
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of Residents in Pediatrics, Medicine Pediatrics, and Family Medicine; and Fellows in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Objectives:
After viewing this lecture, the participant will be able to:
  • Understand the HFV devices available for neonates
  • Understand how these devices are used
  • Understand the outcome data regarding HFV strategies
  • Summarize CCHS clinical applications for HFV
