Program Overview |
|
This presentation provides evidene to support "appropriate play" with high-risk preterm infants in the NICU. Parents are seldom encouraged to "play" with their infants in this high-tech environment yet, play is foundamental to the development of strong attachments. A scientific basis is provided for the importance of these interactions. Evidence to support implementaiton is also provided. Developmental outcomes are best supported with integration of parents into all caregiving. |
